Well if you take the drive from Americans to get ahead, to build a business, to succeed and do something with their lives, you will lose them. And pretty soon, we will all be on WELFARE. Then the government will be in total control of our lives. IS THAT WHAT WE WANT? MAY IT NEVER BE!!!!!

Misty…

As a Republican, it concerns me just how low people are willing to go to smear a political opponent.

There is no truth in what you have heard. Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, which makes him a natural born U.S. citizen. Anyone that tells you other wise, is either a complete idiot or just plain ignorant.

Comment by Misty

Is there any truth that Obama may have been born in Kenya and was adopted in Indonesia. I saw a clip where his Kenyan grandmother claimed she was in the delivery room. I would think this should be looked into because to be president, isn’t one supposed to be a natural born citizen? If this is true, then we may as well throw out the constitution.

Comment by McCain for President 08

THIS LETTER MAKES MORE SENSE THAN ANYTHING I HAVE SEEN, HEARD, OR READ, CONCERNING THE UPCOMING ELECTION…
IT’S A LETTER FROM A U.S. CITIZEN… WHO LIVES IN ILLINOIS … AND OBVIOUSLY IS A “SELF-THINKER”… NOT JUST A “FOLLOWER”!!!

Dear Friends:

My name is Joe Porter. I live in Champaign , Illinois . I’m 46 years old, a born-again Christian, a husband, a father, a small business owner, a veteran, and a homeowner. I don’t consider myself to be either conservative or liberal, and I vote for the person, not Republican or Democrat. I don’t believe there are “two Americas ” but that every person in this country can be whomever and whatever they want to be if they’ll just work to get there and nowhere else on earth can they find such opportunities. I believe our government should help those who are legitimately downtrodden, and should always put the interests of America first.

The purpose of this message is that I’m concerned about the future of this great nation. I’m worried that the silent majority of honest, hard-working, tax-paying people in this country have been passive for too long. Most folks I know choose not to involve themselves in politics. They go about their daily lives, paying their bills, raising their kids, and doing what they can to maintain the good life. They vote and consider doing so to be a sacred trust. They shake their heads at the political pundits and so-called “news”, thinking that what they hear is always spun by whomever is reporting it. They can’t understand how elected officials can regularly violate the public trust with pork barrel spending. They don’t want government handouts. They want the government to protect them, not raise their taxes for more government programs.

We are in the unique position in this country of electing our leaders. It’s a privilege to do so. I’ve never found a candidate in any election with whom I agreed on everything. I’ll wager that most of us don’t even agree with our families or spouses 100% of the time. So when I step into that voting booth, I always try to look at the big picture and cast my vote for the man or woman who is best qualified for the job. I’ve hired a lot of people in my lifetime, and essentially that’s what an election is - a hiring process. Who has the credentials? Whom do I want working for me? Whom can I trust to do the job right?

I’m concerned that a growing number of voters in this country simply don’t get it. They are caught up in a fervor they can’t explain, and calling it “change”.

“Change what?”, I ask.
“Well, we’re going to change America “, they say.
“In what way?”, I query.
“We want someone new and fresh in the White House”, they exclaim.
“So, someone who’s not a politician?”, I say.
“Uh, well, no, we just want a lot of stuff changed, so we’re voting for Obama”, they state.

“So the current system, the system of freedom and democracy that has enabled a man to grow up in this great country, get a fine education, raise incredible amounts of money and dominate the news, and win his party’s nomination for the White House that system’s all wrong?”

“No, no, that part of the system’s okay we just need a lot of change.” And so it goes. “Change we can believe in.”

Quite frankly, I don’t believe that vague proclamations of change hold any promise for me. In recent months, I’ve been asking virtually everyone I encounter how they’re voting. I live in Illinois , so most folks tell me they’re voting for Barack Obama. But no one can really tell me why only that he’s going to change a lot of stuff “Change, change, change.” I have yet to find one single person who can tell me distinctly and convincingly why this man is qualified to be President and Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful nation on earth other than the fact that he claims he’s going to implement a lot of change.

We’ve all seen the emails about Obama’s genealogy, his upbringing, his Muslim background, and his church affiliations. Let’s ignore this for a moment. Put it all aside. Then ask yourself, “What qualifies this man to be my president? That he’s a brilliant orator and talks about change?”

CHANGE WHAT?

Friends, I’ll be forthright with you I believe the American voters who are supporting Barack Obama don’t have a clue what they’re doing, as evidenced by the fact that not one of them - NOT ONE of them I’ve spoken to can spell out his qualifications. Not even the most liberal media can explain why he should be elected. Political experience? Negligible. Foreign relations? Non-existent. Achievements? Name one. Someone who wants to unite the country? If you haven’t read his wife’s thesis from Princeton , look it up on the web. This is who’s lining up to be our next First Lady? The only thing I can glean from Obama’s constant harping about change is that we’re in for a lot of new taxes.

For me, the choice is clear. I’ve looked carefully at the two leading applicants for the job, and I’ve made my choice.

Here’s a question - “Where were you five and a half years ago? Around Christmas, 2002. You’ve had five or six birthdays in that time. My son has grown from a sixth grade child to a high school graduate. Five and a half years is a good chunk of time. About 2,000 days. 2,000 nights of sleep. 6,000 meals, give or take.”

John McCain spent that amount of time, from 1967 to 1973, in a North Vietnamese prisoner-of-war camp.

When offered early release, he refused it. He considered this offer to be a public relations stunt by his captors, and insisted that those held longer than he should be released first. Did you get that part? He was offered his freedom, and he turned it down. A regimen of beatings and torture began.

Do you possess such strength of character? Locked in a filthy cell in a foreign country, would you turn down your own freedom in favor of your fellow man? I submit that’s a quality of character that is rarely found, and for me, this singular act defines John McCain.

Unlike several presidential candidates in recent years whose military service is questionable or non-existent, you will not find anyone to denigrate the integrity and moral courage of this man. A graduate of Annapolis, during his Naval service he received the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross. His own son is now serving in the Marine Corps in Iraq . Barack Obama is fond of saying “We honor John McCain’s service…BUT…”, which to me is condescending and offensive - because what I hear is, “Let’s forget this man’s sacrifice for his country, and his proven leadership abilities, and talk some more about change.”

I don’t agree with John McCain on everything - but I am utterly convinced that he is qualified to be our next President, and I trust him to do what’s right. I know in my heart that he has the best interests of our country in mind. He doesn’t simply want to be President - he wants to lead America , and there’s a huge difference. Factually, there is simply no comparison between the two candidates. A man of questionable background and motives who prattles on about change, can’t hold a candle to a man who has devoted his life in public service to this nation, retiring from the Navy in1981 and elected to the Senate in1982.

Perhaps Obama’s supporters are taking a stance between old and new. Maybe they don’t care about McCain’s service or his strength of character, or his unblemished qualifications to be President. Maybe “likeability” is a higher priority for them than “trust”. Being a prisoner of war is not what qualifies John McCain to be President of the United States of America - but his demonstrated leadership certainly DOES.

Dear friends, it is time for us to stand. It is time for thinking Americans to say, “Enough.” It is time for people of all parties to stop following the party line. It is time for anyone who wants to keep America first, who wants the right man leading their nation, to start a dialogue with all their friends and neighbors and ask who they’re voting for, and why.

There’s a lot of evil in this world. That should be readily apparent to all of us by now. And when faced with that evil as we are now, I want a man who knows the cost of war on his troops and on his citizens. I want a man who puts my family’s interests before any foreign country.

I want a President who’s qualified to lead.

I want my country back, and I’m voting for John McCain.

Hey Margaret,
You really have no idea what radical terrorist are or what they want to do to you. Did anything click upstairs when the Twin Towers were maliciously attacked, the Pentagon attacked, the plane of Americans crashed in a field in PA and died, because of complete hate for this country that means us, all of us. Those people on that plane realized it, just think about what must have been going on in their minds. They knew they were going to die, but they cared about this country enough to stop the plans of those hate driven terrorists. Do YOU want someday to come to that realization, or do you think you should look into what is going on around us now, and take a stand for yourself, your loved ones, and others? The terrorists meant business and do not plan on stopping, they are driven by a force that you or most of us cannot truly understand. And Obama does not understand or does he?

Hey “Who I am”, you really have no idea of what is going on in this election. You my friend are clueless, but I understand it’s easier that way. Just keep drinking the kool-aid my friend. Maybe if Obama gets in your eyes will be open to what some have been trying to say. Just for one moment, stop and think, then listen with a open mind to someone on the other side. Then maybe you can make a educated decision. I DID.

Well, I work for a very large corporation that is already sending us Emails about possible restructuring due to the economy and feeling nervous about large tax hikes if Obama is elected. After I loose my job, I can then join the millions in the Nobama tax cuts however I won’t have any income
so the tax cuts won’t help a bit since I will have no money.
As Obama’s new reverse trickle up (Down) theory takes effect and millions loose their jobs, we will all make under 250,000.00 Dollars a year and the Government will no longer have any taxes in which to collect from us. We can then join all the other 3rd world nations as Obama runs our country into the ground as Reverend Wright would like. Maybe Wright can then use his left hand to hand out a donation to the new unfortunate thanks to his understudy we all know as Oabama.

Many Companies large and small are on the ropes and Obama’s vision of redistributing the wealth so that we are all poor should even things out.
I would much rather have my current job than a pathetic 500.00 dollar tax deduction.

What an inexperienced cynical Marxist Clown.

Give it up Obama and let’s see you and Oprah redistribute your wealth

Your Social Security (feel free to tell me if this is NOT true)

Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn’t know this.

Be sure and show it to your kids. They need a little history lesson on what’s what.

And it doesn’t matter whether you are Democrat of Republican. Facts are facts!!!

Our Social Security

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social
Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be
completely voluntary.

2.) That the participants would only have to pay
1% of the first $1,400 of their annual
incomes into the Program,

3.) That the money the participants elected to put
into the Program would be deductible from
their income for tax purposes each year,

4.) That the money the participants put into the
Independent ‘Trust Fund’ rather than into the
General Operating Fund, and therefore, would
only be used to fund the Social Security
Retirement Program, and no other
government program, and,

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees
would never be taxed as income.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are
now receiving a Social Security check every month –
and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of
the money we paid to the federal government to ‘put
away’, you may be interested in the following:

————————————————————-

Q: Which political party took Social Security from the
Independent ‘Trust Fund’ and put it in to the
General Fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratically-
controlled House and Senate.

——————————————————————–

Q: Which political party eliminated the income tax
deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

A: The Democratic Party.

———————————————————————–

Q: Which political party started taxing Social
Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the
‘tie-breaking’ deciding vote as President of the
Senate, while he was Vice President of the U.S.

—————————————————————-

Q: Which political party decided to start giving
annuity payments to immigrants?

AND MY FAVORITE:

A: That’s right!

Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65,
they began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them
even though they never paid a dime into it!

———————————————————————-

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA),

the Democrats turn around and tell you that the
Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is, uninformed citizens believe it!

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of
awareness will be planted and maybe changes will
evolve. Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully
sure of what isn’t so.

AND CONGRESS GIVES THEMSELVES 100% RETIREMENT

FOR ONLY SERVING ONE TERM!!!

‘A government big enough to give you everything you want,
is strong enough to take everything you have.’

$63 Million In “Questionable” Obama Campaign Donations?

Ken Timmerman from Newsmax has been looking into recent donations to the Obama campaign and came up with some interesting tidbits. Could $63 million of Barack Obama’s campaign donations have come from Foreign Sources?

John McCain has made his complete list of donors, even those giving under $200, available on line for all to see. The question is……why does Barack Obama’s campaign continue to hide these contributors?

During the Newsmax investigation, there continue to be numerous donors who have given well over the allowed amount by the FEC. Some of the donors did have money returned to them, but there are more questions about these donors than answers.
But many of the donors Newsmax canvassed said they had “never” been contacted by the Obama campaign or seen any refunds, even though their contributions went over the limit months ago. In all, Newsmax found more than 2,000 donors who had contributed in excess of the $4,600 limit for individuals per election cycle.

Such donations, if not returned within 60 days, are a clear violation of federal campaign finance laws. Lisa Handley, a stay-at-home mom from Portland, Ore., recalled giving $4,600 to the Obama campaign by credit card, contributions she made because “I love Obama,” she said. According to FEC records, however, she gave an additional $2,300 to the campaign, putting her over the limit.

The Obama campaign reported that it had “redesignated” the excess money, which could mean that it had contributed it to a separate party committee or a joint fundraising committee, which have higher limits. But if that happened, it’s news to Handley. “No one ever contacted me to return any of the money or told me they were redesignating some of the money,” she said.

The Obama campaign continues to hide it’s donor list. Of their 2.5 million donors the campaign claims to have, they have kept 2 million of them secret. What’s with all of their secrets? How many people have now come forward claiming that their credit cards have been charged $2300 without their permission by the Obama campaign?

How many people have had contributions made using their names in order to bypass the FEC? Do they truly have 2.5 million donors or are some of these aliases? Is this a huge fraud being perpetrated on our country….in addition to ACORN? According to the Newsmax article:

But there’s one problem with the Obama data: Sharpe doesn’t remember giving that much money to the Obama campaign in the first place, nor does he recall anyone from the campaign ever contacting him to return money. “At the end, I was making monthly payments,” he told Newsmax. The Obama campaign records do not show any such payments.

You can’t help to ask questions about the dollar amounts. $150 million in one month in the middle of what this country has gone through in the last month is very interesting. Do you think there is any point in which we will find out about where these donations have been coming from?

The article on Cindy McCain, is terrible! How dare they do that to her and contact a minor through face book. That is way out of line. Early in the campaign Barak Obama stated that HIS wife and family are “off Limits” well if he is true to his word he should come out and say that this is unacceptable…That is if he is TRUE to his word!

Comment by Allytude

Our country, if not the rest of the world, is set at pause awaiting the result of the accumulated results of US of A’s voters’ final act in the sacred election booth. Will the voters’ fingers pick a clearly decisive person, who has well-articulated plans and coordinated reactions to crises, a more compassionate view of the not so fortunate and a rather inclusive kind of approach or someone who seems to meander from position to position on anything concrete, except perhaps scary far right issues- so far right that they are that side of wrong.
Aside from its historical firsts, much finger waving and back patting, nothing else but the world’s ability to implement and execute the very definition of what we call “democracy” as well as address Economic slowdown (no-don’t-call-it-a-recession-yet) of ours awaits the final decision from the voting fingers of the US of A.

Here’s a wonderful solution and a great idea! If liberals are so in the bag for socialism, why don’t we let them give their entire paycheck to the govt? They can balance it out for the rest of us who don’t agree. Since they are so willing, their money can be wasted on government programs that help the ones who abuse the system, buy homes for the ones who don’t pay taxes, foodstamps, health insurance, and everything else for the welfare bunch so they can continue to do what they do best; nothing. Keep feeding the pig on their dime.

Then Planned Parenthood (stationed at every corner of these neighborhoods) can help control the population of these poor folks. Due to the lack of hard work, they constantly pro-create as there is nothing for them to do since jobs are not necessary in this Garden of Eden, just as there is no motivation for them to work for anything or succeed. What a party!

Be a bunch of non-working rabbits so liberals can keep maintaining their ‘right to choose’ campaign and feed the pig, all the while using only their money to support the punks, drunks and degenerates of society.

Then the small businesses can continue to grow and give jobs to those who work hard and desire to find their own success through life and let them keep/use their money to get ahead. I wonder how quickly the liberals in this country would change their mind if the dynamic suddenly changed on them?

I’d like to see how long that program lasts!

Ask yourself a question: when I have you ever made a good decision based on fear?

When have you ever made a decision that was worthwhile because you were afraid? The best decisions are those made, not in haste, not out of fear, but because you were calm, thoughtful and ready to decide. America needs to be ready to decide its future, but it should not be a decision made out of cartoon fears, fears created by a desperate man desperate to be President, but because America needs true leadership, and a new face on our future. Barack Obama is not a man to be feared, nor should one fear an Obama presidency (McCain said exactly that, in fact, at one of his own rallies). He is a good man, with good judgement. Those who espouse the ACORN connection and the William Ayers connection do so out of fear and ignorance, and hope to inspire fear in you. That’s shameful.

So many on this forum have brought up the notion that they are voting for McCain because they are afraid of Barack Obama. Some say he’s a Muslim (he’s not, he’s a Christian), some fear his connection to William Ayers (which is tenuous, and took place on a board with Republicans and Democrats of all stripes…they were not “buddies”), they tout his supposed connection to the ACORN scandal (which he had nothing to do with, and had only been tangentially involved with ACORN many years ago under innocent circumstances). Barack Obama is not a criminal, is not a violent man, and wants to bring our troops home from Iraq. John McCain has associated himself with the likes of Charles Keating (who was behind the 1980s financial scandals) and G. Gordon Liddy (who organized the Watergate break-in and plotted to kidnap Americans and firebomb government buildings to influence the re-election of Nixon). Sarah Palin is associated with the Alaskan Independence Party, who plots to secede Alaska from the United States and who hate the American government.

Sadly, the Obama haters on this board fail to see or admit to McCain and Palin’s enormous character flaws. Sarah Palin is in no way prepared to be our Vice President, and his selection of her in a time of war is an enormous defect of character.

In John McCain we have a President who will not only keep us engaged in the war in Iraq, but will almost certainly engage America in another useless war in Iran. In John McCain we have four more years of fear, four more years of hate, and four more years of American failures at home and abroad. We are despised in the world after eight years of George Bush. John McCain is four more years of the same ideals, same policies, and same empty promises.

Don’t be afraid to vote for Barack Obama. Be afraid of the America we would continue to have under John McCain.

I tried using logic and reason, but nobody on the board wants to play. They still can’t explain why ACORN and Ayers are so important, but G. Gordon Liddy being McCain’s buddy and Todd Palin being a card-carrying member of the AIP is not important.

Funny how that works out, considering.

(They like to say it’s because Ayers is unrepentant, but his repentant…but Liddy called for the murder of government agents on his 1990s talk show, and was responsible for plotting to frame politicians and kidnap American citizens, in addition to the Watergate break-in and a planned firebombing of a government building, all to get his Republican President re-elected.)

Yeah, it’s interesting you guys don’t want to talk about THAT. I’ve asked several times.

Considering how homophobic you are, calling me “gay” is an offhand comment: it means you fear me.

Who Am I, In defense of McCain for President, the Tony poster insulted him first by insinuating that McCain for president is some kind of sex fiend who plays with himself, then he goes on to speak of his mother. Are Tony’s comments not incongruent with the flow of this board in your opinion? I personally enjoy McCain’s posts and I’ve observed the Tony poster insulting many posters on here. That doesn’t make Tony very mature, now does it? Just one more question, are you the message board redentor or moderator, Who Am I? You need to mind your own business. You run around this board commenting on everybody’s posts. I can’t imagine what it would be like having you as a neighbor. PO

Hello. Did everybody forget about the war?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Uhhhh Leah,
I think if you check, that was brought to us by GW & Company… The Democratic Congress validate our entry into this nightmare because GW gave false information.
Besides, when GW took over we had a budget surplus… now the deficit is double that of what this stupid and unwarrented War is costing us.
You can’t just simply blame EVERTHING on the Democrats.
Remember the Fox credo: Fair & Balanced? Try to stick with that theme, please.
Hello. Did everybody forget about the war? Or the dotcom bubble, and the housing bubble perpetrated by Greenspan and Clinton? Did the economy crisis descend on the US overnight? Just think about this. The US cannot sustain unbridled growth—no country can. The economy was getting superheated and needed to cool down. Unfortunately there were these individuals who took advantage of the situation and made millions, if not billions. The housing bubble was perpetrated by the feel good people who wanted the best even though it was not affordable. Nobody coule be that stupid and say they were cheated or duped by lenders. It is so very easy to walk away from a negotiation, so asy to say NO.
To get back to the debates, McCain won the first one, the second one was a draw, and the third one was again won by McCain. Obama needs to go back to being a Senator and learn the trade, and maybe, 20 years from now, he would have learned enough to be president. Not this year.
Hey “McCain For President Guy”!
What a petty little man you are! Why do you resort to name calling on that level?
What possible reason would there EVER be for calling Tony GAY??!
Is that the best you can come up with?? You can’t take him down with logic and intellegence??
To do and say what you just did reduces you to a schoolyard child… Not a Man!
That being said, after reading your posts I’ve concluded you’re just a paid Schill for Fox News… Your comments come onto this board and apparently are so incongruent with the flow of what’s being said…
Now I’m sure you’ll come back and hurl some nasty and illrelevant epitaphs at me.
If Straight Talk is good enough for John Sydney then why don’t you just stick to that format and give an honest and apt reply… If you can.
Go Senator McCain! Most of us don’t currently make a quarter million a year but we would like to and we sure don’t want to spread it around if/when we do. Wasn’t it B Franklin who said that when a people find out they can vote themselves money they mark the end of the republic? That’s not an exact quote but I’m sure it can be easily found. Thank you John McCain for standing up for the common citizen.
If Obama has voted 112 times “PRESENT”while being in the Senate as has been reported how can we learn what position or approach he may have on any major issue confronting this country in the future as PRESIDENT?? JUST WAIT AND SEE ????
Alex S. that youtube video was frightening. It is amazing how ignorant and rude people can be. I could not help thinking when watching that, of “Jesus Christ Superstar”when the crowds were yelling “Crucify him”. And than I thought they only had the knowledge of word of mouth about news and events during Jesus times. We have the internet, newspaper, media, factcheck.org to seek truth and who is being truthful as our future leader. I am not a bible thumper, but I feel I am spirtual in my thinking. And to think that people like that could possibly be raising children who in turn could possibly take on this mind set. That was one sick group of people, or I should say uneducated!
One more comment: JOE BIDEN is meeting with his voters in his district in a diner that has been closed for 20 years. DOG ON IT JOE ARE YOU IN THE FIRST STAGES OF DEMENTIA?
WHO ARE THESE MYSTERY PEOPLE YOU MEET WITH IN THIS DINER? AND YOU AND THE OTHERS WANT TO SAY JOHN McCAIN IS LOSING IT?
Comment by BEEN THERE DONE THAT
Hooray for JOE THE PLUMBER NOBAMA did not realize the guy standing in front of him is the same guy THE ONE has been saying for months he wanted to represent as PREZ. Now he and the liberal media want to attack the very people he was suppose to be fighting for. YA KNOW THE AVERAGE JOE. Does this prove who is in touch and who is not? Joe Biden doesn’t know anyone in the plumbing business that makes 250,000 or more OMG has this man been in the basement that long? I live in a resort area and the plumbers around here make that and provide jobs for those willing to WORK ( oh there goes that dirty word again) DOG ON IT JOE there you go again looking backwards instead of ahead. BEAM US UP SCOTTIE, THERE IS NO INTELLIGENT LIFE FORMS HERE!
LMAO
No we are not all like this… most of us aren’t racist or believe in hatred.
Most of us believe that we are all equal in God’s eyes.
The people at these rallies make me sick to my stomach.
Remember, Fear is a lot easier than Hope and Love.
It is funny that all the people that support McCain are so worried about their taxes. Buckle your belts because Bush got us into this mess, and gee he is a republican. It does not matter what the word is these days, Republican, Democrat. Bush and Cheney and god know’s who else was involved in starting a war in Iraq who we all know did not attack us or have WMD . Halliburton has generously prospered from this illusion and lined their pockets quite well. And if you want to think about the 9ll attack, well it happened on the Republicans time table. Why was Bush not having his intelligence on top of this issue. We all have to pay for the last eight years of this current administration. If that means all or our taxes being increased well so be it. Bush took his eye off the ball with Wallstreet. All of this mess has never been about finding terroists and keeping us safe. McCain says he will “chase bin laden to the gates of hell,” well good luck finding him he has had quite a long time to hide.
We need to realize that on both sides we will be paying taxes. Tax corporate america and all of the oil companies, tax all the exec’s that parachuted from wall street with our money. We had a surplus when Clinton left office, Bush destroyed it. Colin Powell will step up to the plate and let the people know how corrupt this administration was and why he stepped down. We can not have another 4 years of Bush like thinking, we need smart people in the white house and Obama and Biden are smart and well respected globally. The Irish have already bet and put money up that Obama is our next President. The Irish Rule!
B!
A further thought….
What is worse, collecting more taxes or spending more than you collect?
With Either one it’s going to be that way… There’s no escaping it… that IS going to be the way it turns out.
Neither one is smart enough to dig us out of the hole we’re in. The reality of the condition we’re in right now and for the foreseeable future is such that either one will be forced to turn out to be pretty much the same… sans the Pre Election rhetoric by both. That’s reality and that’s a fact. Remember, if John Sydney becomes President then most likely he’s going to be saddled with a Democratic House and Senate… which equals either gridlock or compromise on Tax issues.
If ‘That One’ get’s in then the realities of the economic situation are going to make it virtually impossible for him to deliver on the Tax and Spend philosopy of The Democratic Pary Line. Raising taxes with the times like they are… with the committment of what will become a Trillion Dollar Baiout will become insane and impossible… We just can’t pay for that and the war and all the social changes of either the Democrats OR the Republican’s… It just ain’t gonna happen
