A Rose by Any Olber Name
Thank goodness for online video streaming. It’s about the only way I could watch Keith Olbermann.
Earlier this week, Keith, an MSNBC propagandist who has come to believe people care what he hopes/thinks/says/because-there’s-no-filter-in-between, smeared my colleague Howard Wolfson, who was Hillary Clinton’s communication director and is now a FOX News political analyst. Keith compared Howard to Tokyo Rose.
First of all, Tokyo Rose didn’t exist. It was a name bestowed on a half dozen or so women who broadcast propaganda in English to American soldiers during World War II. The various Tokyo Roses’ job was demoralize the enemy by telling them they could not win.
Second, Howard Wolfson is a proud liberal who, in his appearances on FOX, has outlined the Democrats’ battle plan for winning the White House. He is not preaching defeat to his party. After Sen. Clinton’s defeat, he threw his support to Barack Obama. There is room for that kind of opinion in the Big Tent known as FOX News.
But not in Keith’s head. Keith is too important to be constrained (restrained might be a different matter) by facts. He is the heir to Huntley, to Brinkley, to Chancellor, to Brokaw. (Sorry, NBC).
Keith thinks Democrats shouldn’t deign to appear on FOX. That’s the same philosophy that served John Edwards so well when he was an active candidate (among other things). Like Sen. Edwards, Keith is a non-factor now that the real decisions have been made. And like Tokyo Rose, he is a fictional conflation.

The comments that state that Fox is biased and that ratings are in the tank indicate either the (lack of) intelligence of the poster or the completeness of the blinders they have on. I suspect it is both.
Olberman is worse than a clown - he is a narcissistic idiot. He should go back to sports - at least he had some modicum of knowlege in that area. He is out of his league now. And NO, Olberman has never won his time slot - NEVER. MSNBC is the one in the tank (both as to ratings and as liberal shills).
So, Fox News is a little conservative. I suppose to a liberal that is really radical. It has bee interesting watching the more “liberal” cable news networks during the dems primaries. You had CNN fawning over the Clintons and MSNBC fawning over Obama. And if a news organization goes another direction, of course they are going to be looked at as extreme. So what! You can pick the coverage that you like. The problem with the left is that they do not want anyone but them to have a voice or be on the air.
What a shame. The ones who cried for years that everyone should be given a voice are now denying the voices that disagree with them. Almost sounds like liberalism and conservatism have switched roles when it comes to freedom in public discourse. Or perhaps that liberal mantra of free speech for everyone was code for only them!
By the way, I think Fox News and O’Rielly should send a thank you card to Oberman, Matthews, and MSNBC for the free publicity they keep giving FoxNews through their unhealthy fixations. You go guys! The more you talk about them, the more attention you are drawing to them, and their ratings keep crushing you. Now we not only have bad journalism, we also have faulty branding/marketing conceptualization Couple that with the unhealthy fixations and you have a recipe for business disaster. If they don’t wake up soon, they will be going the way of Air America.
I am a long time Fox viewer and I am a conservative . That being said I just want to say that the reason Fox is number one in the ratings is the balanced reporting every single day. Keith Olbermann and Chris Mathews are beyond contempt. These two clowns are so in the tank for Obama and can’t find it in themselves to say anything positive about any other candidate going back to the primaries. Their remarks are crude and when they try to be funny it is just plain tasteless. They single handedly trashed Hillary Clinton and made no apologies for it. I am not a fan of Hillary clinton but enough was enough. When I heard Olbermann trashes Bill Oreilly I suffered through a couple of his after hours replay of his show and couldn’t believe what I was hearing. It is no wonder why the MSNBC/ Obama network is always last in the ratings. NBC has stooped to a new low having these two imbeciles on their newscasts. Keep up the good work to all of you at Fox news and that includes Howard Wolfson.
I can’t take your comments serioiusly when you and your colleagues are the slimiest set of liars on the planet. A study of news organizations put Fox well down the list for honest reporting. Fox doesn’t have a news channel yet. This is just a right wing spin machine - disgusting!
Oh and for those of you who portray Fox “News” Channel as being good for exposing liberals as bad, but for some reason don’t consider that to be biased, I have to say this: Look up the term “irony.”
When any reference on FOX “News” Channel is made to liberals, it’s always derogatory.
And let’s be honest. Liberals are always on the correct side of history. The winners of The American Revolution, The Civil War, both World Wars, the abolition of slavery, women’s sufferage, the collapse of empirealism and colonialism - in all these cases the liberal side got its way, and you reading this, your life is better for it.
Fox is fair and balanced, eh?
No, if you have a brain you can see that Fox is the most biased news organization in America.
Fox “News” Channel actually fought and won a court battle establishing the right to lie in the news. They fired a team of reporters for refusing to lie, the reporters sued for wrongful termination and lost because the court found there is no law against lying in the news.
They have contributors like Karl Rove and Newt G, and their supposedly left-leaning contributors like Susan E seem to always be criticising liberals and Democrats. Very balanced.
Why do I read it? Because I want to be informed about what the loony anti-Constitution, anti-American far right is telling people.
By the way, liberals have always been in the right side of history, from the American revolution to the American Civil War and both World Wars, the abolition of slavery, women’s sufferage, always.
re Oberman; I truly sympathize with the few professional reporters and news people remaining at NBC. Finding that they have to work with Oberman and Matthews, the ultimate in conspracy lunacy and partisan reporting, in covering the demo convention must be giving them heartburn. The patients at NBC have taken over the asylum.
Bill
I love it when elitist leftists try to say things like all conservatives are uneducated rednecks or that our “collective IQ is 30″. I actually have a humble IQ of 137, graduated college, and don’t like country music, brisket, or live in a trailer. Nice try, lib, get a job.
As for the FoxNews debate about it being fair or not…I do see a bit of a conservative slant. But, could it be possible that truth in news reporting is naturally slanted to the right? Hmm. Could it be that what really matters just happens to be more to the middle right? Just musing.
I’m continually amazed at how deluded the conservatives/republicans/foxnewsers can be. To state fox is “fair and balanced” is laughable. Fox ratings are in the tank and so along goes the republican party. It’s in the toilet. Conservatism is dead.
Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews — they are two of the biggest jokes TV ever told. I would never — even if paid — be able to watch them. I haven’t turned on MSNBC since the early primaries when their bias was so arrogantly portrayed.
I think I’m starting to understand a disfunction in many liberal-minded people in this country: they don’t seem to understand the difference between opinion and fact. This explains why liberal media outlets such as the NYT and MSNBC litter their news reporting with editorialism, and why some of the liberal views posted earlier confuse this EDITORIAL BLOG with the news reporting done by Fox.
FIXED NEWS IS A JOKE!!!!
GO KEITH!!!! U DA MAN!!!!
Geraldine Ferraro shared on a Fox broadcast earlier in the evening that after the election there would be efforts to have objective sources (primarily academics) to assess the media coverage of the primaries and throughout the campaigns. Her focus was sexism and the unfarvorable treatment of Senator Clinton by news broadcasters and pundits. I hope that the media will allow an objective group to evaluate the quality of work and the conduct of political reporting. There is a journalistic responsibility and certainly a public duty for news organizations to report the facts in a fair, honest and unbiased way. It is best for the news organizations to advocate for an evaluation so that ethical standards in journalism can be reaffirimed. Right now there is no accountability except for “ratings”. Personally, I watch C-span as much as I can as the hosts keep an objective posture and do allow for all sides to be presented. Fox News is generally fair and balanced and I do appreciate that. Just to comment on Howard Wolfson, my opinion is that he does represent his point of view and observations in a succinct, professional manner. I do miss Tony Snow as I could “trust” that he was seeking the truth. Your field reporters are excellent and highly professional - the reporters that cover the Pentagon and Homeland Security -Jennifer and Kathryn are very trustworthy. It is my opinion that Chris Wallace and Brit Hume are careful to be as accurate as possible. All in all I do enjoy most of the analysts and reporters on Fox. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Keith OlberWho? People actually watch that venomous, vile fool?
For all you lefties who consider Fox to be a mouthpiece for the RNC, it was none other than Terry McAuliffe himself who deemed Fox News to be “fair and balanced” during an appearance with Chris Wallace earlier this year. Yes, the former DNC chair Terry McAuliffe, that’s the one. And he repeated it several times. Now, perhaps he was high on crack that morning. Or, maybe one of the most highly placed and respected operatives in Democrat politics doesn’t believe that oft-repeated and popular cretin-liberal myth that Fox does the GOP’s heavy lifting. I think the latter.
You have to remember that Keith started in the sports world.
When he moved to “real” news no one explained to him that he was STILL irrelevant.
Or that the years that he spent as a sports announcer had rotted his brain to the point where he could no longer think logically. Sports will do that to you, don’t ya know.
Remember Keith, there are no qualifications for becoming a news announcer except a big mouth.
Great article Mr. Moody.
I liked Kieth much more when he was on ESPN. Perhaps he should go back there. He does have some quality input but it is clouded in his own personal view of the world. He would be much more effective for his cause, if his cause was objectivitly. Peace to all.
Keith Olberman thinks he’s entertaining. He might be to few leftists and liberal wingnuts but that’s about it.
Well put. The hack should go back to a sports channel- maybe TNT with Charles Barkley.
I am so sorry for you libs, you can only see one side of everything and anything. It must be awful to be right all the time. HOW SAD
Media bias is interesting business. Everyone thinks that news coverage they don’t like is biased to the other side. So we get the Liberals screaming Fox News is biased and the Conservatives screaming MSNBC and CNN are biased (Which probably means they both are)
Read a really good study of media bias (Not just the results but the great methodology)
Groseclose and Milyo - A measure of Media Bias - These guys are professors at UCLA and UoM and analyzed 6 years of data for the 20 biggest News outlets in the country. Unfortunately MSNBC was too new (or insignificant) to be included.
And the results on a 0-100 scale (100=Most Liberal, 0=Most Conservative) with 50 being a perfect balanced position.
Fox News scores 39.7
CNN News scores 56.0
ABC World News 61.0
NBC Nightly News scores 61.6
Washington Times scores 35.4
Washington Post scores 66.6
New York Times scores 73.7
So Fox News is biased and CNN and NBC are biased… big surprise.
I was however shocked to see that only 3 News outlets scored under 50 while 17 scored over 50. That’s probably why conservatives flock to Fox… there is no other conservative television news. And Fox is no more biased to the right than ABC and NBC are biased to the left. CNN is a bit closer to the center. Try to be open minded.
I see no difference in bias between MSNBC, CNN or Fox News. The difference between these channels, though, is that only one of them parades the lie that it is unbiased in its every presentation.
Keith. O Is a emarrassment to NBC, a one time jurnalistic enity that at least once hid thier bias. It’ ovious to any one that watch thier cable network that they’re in “Bed” with the rest of the liberal press. Olberman is nothing more then a pompus Ass Who’s opinion Could easily be used to line a “litter Box” with. Oh, did I mention he sucks as a Sports Commentator as well. I Am a “Huge” Football Fan but I would not wast my Electricity or time listening to His commentary. Someone should tell “Crazylegs” that He certainly over rates himself as well as his Network. Fox is the only news outlet I watch because it is Fair and Balanced. It’s on all day and evening. There is not one show or “On Camera” Personality I don’t enjoy watching or listening to. Fox, keep up the good work.
Olberman clearly belives he is of higher intelligence than most. His haughty attitude towards those who do not share in his largely liberal beliefs is laughable, because we all remember Keith from his earlier career— a Sportscaster. It is my belief Keith should return to calling highlights, where the video is what the viewer tunes in for…. not the talking head, or “gasbag” in Olberman’s case.
What a putz, are Fox Bloggers complaining because the partisan politics they helped create (through propagandist polarization tactics) is starting to question their label as Journalists?
Countdown is one of the most entertaining shows on television right now and Keith probably has more brain in half his head than most of the people on Fox have in their whole bodies.
Funny that the left likes to portray itself as the accepting, tolerant party? Probably why we ALWAYS hear of violent protests at their conventions…tear gas again this year.
To those of you ragging on Keith O. for having been a sportscaster: Let’s not forget that Bill O. was once an anchor for Inside Edition. We all have our humble beginnings.
MSNBC has publicly stated they are going to become the new ‘liberal’ news show because they can’t constantly trail behind on ratings of CNN and FOX News. When haven’t they been a liberal bias news show?
Olbermann is a very sick individual with an obsession for Bill O’Reilly and it has interfered with his show for years. As deranged as he is, he is unable to see how obsessed he has become over Fox news. It isn’t funny but quite sad and embarrassing.
Olbermann needs to be placed in a home for the mentally impaired! He needs to go to a sanatorium to relax and think of something else to do. I can’t even look at him he’s become so strange.
Yet Olberman hit the nail on the head, and he obviously touched a sore spot. Everyone knows that Fox News is simply a vehicle of the Republican party. Trying to deny it just make the author of this piece look foolish.
Keith Olberman is nothing more than a far-left, propangada mouthpiece for the Democratic Party, masquerading as a journalist, who takes his marching orders directly from the DNC.
Why is this opinion piece written by a non-journalist frontpage (webpage) news? Why is it bundled with several other headlines under the subject of Obama accepting the Democratic Party nomination for President? Keith Olbermann doesn’t work for Barack Obama nor does he work for the Democratic Party any more than Bill O’Reilly works for the Republican Party. It is manipulative and poor journalism on the part of Fox News to do this.
K.O. IS THE “. TED BAXTER” OF JOURNALISM
GOOGLE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW TO FIND OUT WHO TED BAXTER IS . HE WAS A DOOFUS ANCHORMAN
Glad to see Mr. Moody made his post. Criticize policies and ideas is fine but KOlbermann makes it personal. If he ever watched Fox, then he would see many democrats stating their views and not demonized. Every time I turn on Fox they have someone from the liberal/democrat perspective discussing the issues. During the democratic convention, Fox is reporting not spending their time criticizing the democrats but I doubt that will be true on MSNBC during the republican convention…..
It’s amazing how folks like CeCe from Liberal land ignore facts. When Liberals state that Fox News is the most fair and balanced channel it gets ignored. That wasn’t Fox News claiming it, that was liberals acknowledging it. But never let the facts get in the way of a good Liberal rant! They are filled with so much disgust for people who see things differently than themselves. They cry out for tolerance for their points of view but they can’t tolerate differing views. I believe that’s called immaturity. Keith O seems to fit that mold too.
Keith,
Of course your unfair and unbalanced message will show up on this website…..IT is fair and balanced.
Try watching the truth once in a while, unless you like spinning in the KO Zone!
Keith at 5:06
You are a freaking airhead … Please provide actual incidents of what you say happens on Fox. Ahhhh I didn’t think so. Here is a test Mr. Brainiack … Look up the Gamaliel Organization … and maybe ACORN … connect the dots to the Dem Nominee … then you will be sorry you did not nominate Hillary! Thought some body else checked first didn’t you? … Guess what airhead … someone did … and they said so … on FOX!
olberman was a lousy sportscaster but his performance on mnbc trumps that. i’m surprised that you have so many comments about him as i only catch him as i surf by. he’ll be gone soon.
Is it the Bush, I mean Fox News Network??? Fair and balanced?? Right.
It is sad that hate and lies are what politics has come to be about and that people like John McCain get caught up in promoting this kind of talk. Shame on them and you for polluting public discourse and undermining our democracy. Let’s just crown King Karl Rove and be done with it. That way our investments will be safe even as child poverty continues to rise (see the press reports today). Then again let’s forget about problems and just throw mud at each other. Better still let’s all go numb watching Fox News do it for us. Good night, and good luck.
Keith, thank you for that classic and worthless diatribe that draws less than a .4 rating for msnbc.
Now where’s my subway sandwich? =)
I remember (Keith might too) when Keith was a nice guy, and one of the funniest sports commentators I had ever heard. I was so enamored with him that I invited him to join me for lunch in the Commissary at The Burbank Studios (now once again Warner Brothers.) I was thinking of asking him to host one of the new game shows that we were planning on piloting. I was quite disappointed that his contract with Channel 5 prohibited him from such a move.
Now, years later, I am very thankful that he wasn’t available. How could such a nice guy sink so low ? ?
Say hello for me, will you?
Ralph
This is the same Keith Olberman who had a breakdown and lost his first show during the Clinton impeachment proceedings.
He is weak, really not worth the trouble. Fox kicks his ass in the ratings all the time, except when they give him attention, like now. Just ignore the girly man and keep doing the news and bringing balance while the other outlets spew DNC nonsense.
Keith, it is 5:06 shouldn’t you be doing show prep, or least drinking some kool aid?
Nicely done.
I agree with what Olbermann said, Wolfson was hired to sling propoganda. Too bad Fox News doesn’t allow Wolfson to actually talk about issues with all the right wing pundits, but everyone knows the last thing the GOP wants to talk about are issues.
The thing I find funny abut Dobey Obey is more than half of every one of his shows is dedicated to smearing O’Reilly. Maybe if he put on a real show rather than worrying about Bill, he’d have some sort of substance. MSNBC, HERE’S A NEWS FLASH:The reason Bill (and Fox for that matter) has all the ratings is because people like him…If you have a show talking trash about someone the viewers like…THEY’RE NOT GOING TO WATCH IT. When MSNBC makes changes, which they can’t loose money forever, Dobey’s long term future holds nothing more than that of a failed far left radio host, so if I were fox, I wouldn’t even give him the time of day.
Only crazies believe Fox News. There are a lot of crazies too. Keep feeding their insanity.
It’s really quite amazing to me that Fox News, the original purveyor of right-wing sleaze, lies, and official Bush “talking points,” all under the hilariously inappropriate mantel of “fair and balanced,” having made a thinly-veiled attempt to coopt ex-Hillary-staffer bitterness in the person of Howard Wolfson and use that bitterness to advance the overtly right-wing purposes of the network, would get its panties all in a bunch when Keith Olbermann simply calls it what it is. Methinks you doth protest too much.
Cece & TKHomann, you too r the jokes here. First of all if either of you uneducated leftist radical morons did any kind of research you would easily find out through various polls that Fox News has the most balance coverage of both sides & they just happen to have the most viewers. Fox news is somewhere around 45% conservative,43% liberal, and 18% independent. Now I may not be dead nuts on with those numbers but a survey done recently showed very similar numbers. Your idols CNN & CNBC were around the 20’s for conservatives, 50-60’s liberals, and teens for independents. So do you want to try to rethink your accusations or are to blind to see the truth.
When you are all the way over to the left anything approaching the center is far right.
Do you folks who love CNN remember when Eason Jordan, one-time CNN’s chief new executive, stated that they slanted or didn’t fully report information in Baghdad during the Saddam years for fear of loosing personnel or access.
For those who love NBC, remember in 1993, “Dateline NBC” was caught for filming a supposed “crash test” of a GM full-size pickup being hit and bursting into flames without telling viewers that the truck had been rigged with hidden incendiary devices and tampered with in various other ways to make a fire more likely.
apparently, you aren’t the only one logging on to msnbc.com to watch keith olbermann. 29.1 million unique visitors to msnbc.com vs 7.6 million to foxnews.com in july 2008. check it out on comscore. shall i chalk that up to their better reporting or the lack of internet access for your uneducated, redneck viewers?
I will never watch MSNBC as long as Olberman is on it. He is a joke. That is why I do not watch MSNBC.
Too bad for MSNBC. Olbermann is like the psychotic relative that slowly decomposes in appearance over time. Slowly. Of course this decay in his appearance is only seen by those observing him, not through his own eyes. I feel that this warpage in his life is primarily due to his total and complete one-sidedness that has driven him into darker and darker levels of his own insanity.
I have observed this madman’s rant after watching actual reports on other networks, only to hear him actually LIE about what was said, reported, actually happened. Bizarre.
Each episode, every month, over a years time, he has deflated his character into a singularity that not even he can analyze. For each successive deflation, his head and ego have become more inflated.
And now, his inflation has driven him to the point that he has now began his attack on those who are not just like him. He is now attacking the brood of his own network. His own fellow minions. How insane.
I could not possibly imagine how this warped individual could possibly view others through his own eyes. Dare I say what goes on in his head while watching these people.
Soon, it will be all over. But how will it pan out? I am excited to see his show mysteriously cancelled only to fill in with an infomercial with Richard Simmons and Eric Estrada. Or, maybe he is told a fire drill is ocurring and he needs to fit everything into a small cardboard box within five minutes before the “thought police” arrive. Or, sadly enough, it might be he is found strewn out, naked, in his apartment, empty cans of pork and beans around him, and he is screaming at the top of his lungs to the operator, demanding more plastic glue.
Could be interesting.
Just promise me you won’t bring him back to Fox.
All you people criticizing Keith Olbermann for being a past sportscaster, forget that Rush Limbaugh was also a sports caster. So I guess on that same token, we should discount what Rush Limbaugh is saying. Thanks for the advice.
Keith @ 5:06pm et al. of similar ilk,
Let me get this straight. The liberal point of view dominates at ABC, NBC, and CBS network news stations. The liberal point of view dominates MSNBC and CNN on cable. And don’t get me started on PBS (I can’t believe my tax dollars/life energy are stollen by my government to support it). Pro-liberal inuendo and dogma and anti-conservative messages dominate the entire entertainment media from kiddy shows to network and cable sitcoms, talk show, and drama. Hollywood movies are loaded with pro-liberal tripe and the culture is so dominated by liberals that conservatives in the industry are afraid to declare themselves as such for fear of never working again in the industry. The bulk of the music industry is dominated by liberals pushing their message on all media venues from your FM radio dial to you Blackberry/MP3, to your Sirius/XM sattelite radio and the cable music channels. The vast majority of print media (newspapers and magizines) are dominated by liberal journalists and liberal editors. You own the government school system from K-12 and the secondary education system is your bastion. And you still need to enact the “Fairness Doctrine” to beat one fair and balanced cable news network and a handfull of conservative radio talkshow hosts? Wow, your team really sucks!
HB
De Oppresso Libre
Keith O is a joke. I never seen a more hate filled commentator like him. I try to watch all cable networks to get all the different views and his show is one that I cannot watch. Positive debating is one thing but when you just spew hatred the way he does is something that I cannot stomach.
well, you were wrong, weren’t you, Keith?
Wow - you rightwing nuts are more paranoid than I thought! You’re only mad at Keith because he calls out O’Reilly nightly - someone had to do it!
It appears “Keith” OberFuerher actually entered a post. Of course, since Free Speech only belongs to Democrats, and the VRWC controls all media and provides Pelosi, Reed, Daschle, Murtha,Kennedy and other scum with dozens of mikes when they bash the President, compare him to Hitler, and blame him for everything from salmonella, to deadly flu outbreaks ( which didn’t occur), to hurricanes, to global warming.
Of course, FOX only is an arm of the RNC, and they have never criticized the President, or reported about Randy “Duke” Cunningham’s or Sen. Stevens bribery. Wait, they did. But the Liberal media never talks about the Democrat leaders that caused the New Orleans disaster, or the impeached Federal judge that got elected to the House in Fla. , or that wonder of wonders, the Rep. Jeffers that had cash from bribes in his Congressional office. Of course, Olbers and Matthews rail against that , how corrupt the Democrats are. What?? They don’t??
If you want to lie Keith, tell the lies to a 3-year old or your dog. They are the only ones dense enough to believe what you say, and your dog surely would want a real man for an owner, rather than a woman like you.
Olbermann is a real nut job…I get a headache from him when I’m just flipping through channels…Fortunately MSNBC is only on for about two seconds ’cause I’m pretty fast with my controller…
“Keith”
I guess you were ’surprised’ when your insane comments turned up here! What are you doing here anyway? Surely you know that 99% of the viewers/writers on this forum are going to disagree with you and your ’silly’ comments. You are just another mouthpiece for the Libs who have had a monopoly on network news for so long that when someone (FOX) does come along and give the other side you cry ‘unfair’ and demand the Fairness Doctrine’s return. If I remember correctly, it was people like you who thought it was unnecessary when YOU had control of all the networks and there was no outlet for the conservative point of view! Now that FOX and most of “Talk Radio” is giving both sides, you cry foul and want to change the rules again. Just take your bat and ball and go home crybaby!
I think keith has the same warm feeling running down his leg as Matthews maybe thats what you have to have to be a news {man} on msnbc
Hey you snot nosed kid, Tokyo Rose was a person and served time in a Fed Pen after the war. She graduated from Gardena High School, Gardena California in 1936. Get your facts strait.
A Gardena Alumni class of 1940.
Keith you ignorant moron. Fox is the only credible reporting media out there who provide the facts and let you decide. Perhaps that’s the key… You apparently dont have the capacity to decide for yourself.
I really try and see all sides and assess each issue or situation without conservative or liberal bias. I wish our political leaders would do the same.
I want to believe that most Americans try to do the same. But for posters here to claim that Fox is “down the middle” is absolutely ludicrous. If you are going to only see one side of an issue, at least own up to it. Admit your bias, be proud of it, and pursue it with passion! Please don’t proclaim your fairness and balance, then launch yet another crusade about the neutrality of Fox News. You make yourselves look silly and ignorant.
On Olberman, he is a sometimes entertaining blowhard. Just say so if you don’t like him or his views, but don’t at the same time proclaim the false piety of Fox. We all see it for the conservative mouthpiece that it is.
Great article. You’re so right. Keith shouldn’t even try to counter the real news on Fox. McCain is our guy. Commander in Chief Victory in Iraq!
Here here well said kieth i think your wonderful come to England you are just brilliant!!
I find it interesting, as I read through these comments, that most of the comments are from the more conservative side of the aisle. If FOX is so truly “fair and balanced”, shouldn’t people from all walks of life be reading this and commenting. But appears to be heavily skewed to one side. It would appear that mostly conservatives come to FOX news to reaffirm their pre-conceptions. Anything outside of their comfort zone become “bias”. The same can be said for liberals, but I don’t see Olberman calling himself “fair and balanced”.
Go back to ESPN Olberman. I actually liked you there.
Gary’s comment is:
I think like Tokyo Rose, folks like Howard Wolfson and Keith Olbermann should not exist, the problem
is they just keep talking and talking saying nothing, and the real joke someone is paying them to do
so, go figure.
Those of you that rail at Fox and do not believe in its ‘fair and balanced’ moniker should pay attention to all the independent studies which confirm it. Fox is indeed the most fair, the most balanced. They always show both sides, sometimes to my dismay. In fact, it’s not just that Fox presents both sides of the issues, they also have the most equal spread of viewers. A recent poll showed that the ratio of democrat viewers to republican viewers is closer to being equal at Fox than on any other network.
Get over it. Olberman is a nobody, a has-been.
The content of Keith Olberman’s brain could fit into a thimble with plenty of room to spare! When he was doing the Sports on KNBC in Los Angeles, he was fine. Knew his stuff and could talk about any sport. Evidently he thought he could switch to another “sport” and do well. WRONG!! At least he’s on MSNBC where very few people are subjected to his blather.
When Ronald Reagan was governor of California he emptied out many of the state’s mental institutions. If anyone is wondering where Keith Olberman and his constituency comes from, now you know.
Finally someone points out the ranting of this light weight individual living somewhere between dogma and fantasy. Olbermann was the very last reason I needed to stop watching MSNBC. In fact, I can’t tell you where to find MSNBC on my cable box! If he continues on MSNBC, it’s only because NBC has a very liberal agenda… certainly not for ratings or revenue.
Why is this front page news.
Take your lil sissy fight elsewhere.
Irony: Fox whining about Olbermann
I’m still waiting for that fair and balanced series that points out Obama’s good ideas on any Fox station.
