A Muslim bridegroom in France claimed he was tricked into marrying someone he didn’t know. “The question is one of lying,” his lawyer, Mr. Labbee, told the Associated Press. The lie was about her virginity, and for this Muslim man, the wedding night discovery was enough to change an essential element of the identity of the woman he had married.
