UPDATE: Since this post went up the the McCain campaign has actually admitted
that they, with the presumption Hillary will disappear from the presidential campaign, will in fact be turning left in the effort to woo Hillary’s voters.

On this last day of Democratic primaries, amidst conflicting stories about what her announcement plans are for this evening, Hillary has made it known she is willing to be Barack Obama’s vice presidential running mate. FOX News reports this revelation came as a statement from Hillary to “congressional colleagues.”
It is clearly an effort, appropriately, to continue to control the agenda. It is a savvy and smart thing to do and the sort of decision making that makes one right for the White House. — She knows what she wants, and has the courage to pursue it.

What a difference a day makes… or not?
First came word this morning from the Associate Press (at 11:03 a.m. ET) that “Clinton will concede the delegate race to Obama.” Then, at 11:19 came word from Clinton campaign chair Terry McAuliffe that the candidate is “absolutely not” conceding the campaign, saying the AP report was incorrect.
I saw Terry McAuliffe yesterday and talked with him (Monday at 10am )and there was no indication that there was going to be any kind of a “concession” on Tuesday night.
